About Silver Study Society

The purpose of the Silver Study Society is to learn, research and appreciate all types and forms of decorative silver.

In May of 2017, twenty-one docents met at Rienzi for the first informal meeting.  Presentations on the silver collections at Rienzi were given by Christine Gervais and at Bayou Bend, by Bradley Brooks.

Speakers, who are experts in their field of silver, will be invited to give educational presentations to the members.  The speaker will be given an opportunity to tour both museums.  Books on silver subjects will be presented annually to one of the house museum libraries in honor of past presidents.
